Default / Custom landing page

Usage By default, WPO365 will always attempt to redirect users to the URL they originally requested before WPO365 intervened and redirected them to Microsoft for sign-in. However, there are a couple of situations in which the user did not originally requested a URL that requires them to sign in:

  • The user clicked the "Sign in with Microsoft" button on the default / custom WordPress login page.
  • WPO365 intercepted a manual sign-in attempt of a user that entered their Microsoft 365 email address into the WordPress default / custom login form.

In the case where the user did not originally requested a URL, WPO365 would want to redirect the user to the default landing page, determined by this setting.

Important Do not confuse this URL with the Azure AD Redirect URI where Microsoft will redirect the user after they signed in successfully. WPO365 will always attempt, as stated before, to redirect the user to the URL they intended to navigate to, or alternatively, to the default landing page determined by this setting.

By default, you can choose from three options, for the default landing page:

  • The site's home page
  • The site's WordPress Admin Dashboard e.g. /wp-admin/
  • Custom (= requires a premium addon or bundle to unlock)

If you select Custom from the provided dropdown list then an input field below will become editable and you can enter your custom landing page instead.

Lastly, you can activate the setting Always send user to default / custom landing page and override the default behavior of WPO365 to attempt and redirect a user to the URL they originally requested and instead always send the user to the default / custom landing page instead, as depicted in the screenshot below.

Default value Empty.

Path WPO365 > Login / Logout > Login Experience

Versions LOGIN (Custom landing page / Always send user LOGIN+, SYNC, INTRANET).
